How Much Can I Actually Raise?

Your fundraising potential depends on attendance, sponsorships, and how carefully you manage event costs. Start with a realistic budget to estimate what your organization could raise.

Net proceeds = Total revenue − Total expenses

Start with Your Expenses

There are quite a number of factors to calculate in determining your actual profits from a Casino Fundraiser. To begin with, you need to calculate all of your expenses – venue rental, food & beverage, decor, prizes if not donated, staffing if non-volunteer, marketing, and advertising.

Build Your Revenue Plan

Revenue will ultimately depend on the number of guests attending, sponsorships sold, and income from separate activities such as a silent auction. Pre-selling admission tickets online by credit card or PayPal can help secure income before the event and improve your budget planning.

Use revenue sources that fit your state’s requirements and event format. At our Pennsylvania and Delaware events, casino play is complimentary, with no chip sales or paid re-buys. Any chip sales or re-buys for a licensed New Jersey fundraiser must be arranged under the approved license.

What Have Other Groups Raised?

Over the years, we have had groups raise amounts from $1,500 to $20,000 for a given casino party night. These are past results, not a guaranteed return. Your outcome will depend on your event’s attendance, sponsorships, revenue, and expenses.
